AI writing has moved beyond the chatbot phase. The best results now come from building a real working setup: context that teaches the system your voice, brand standards, audience, and goals; reusable skills for repetitive writing and review tasks; and agentic workflows that help move work from idea to draft to polish without handing over judgment.
In this talk, Katie will share what she learned from using AI in editorial work at Every, including how she uses style guides, brand guidelines, writing agents, and review skills to make AI more useful without letting it flatten the work. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for building their own AI writing setup: what context to gather, what tasks to systematize, where agents help, and where human taste and judgment still have to stay firmly in charge.
About the presenter:
Katie Parrott is a staff writer at Every, an applied AI lab for the future of work. Prior to joining Every, she was a content marketing strategist and writer focused on helping tech founders and venture capitalists share their ideas through differentiated thought leadership content.
